It's been awhile since I've blogged. Mostly because work has really been kicking my butt lately and I am just exhausted. But, before I crawl into bed tonight, I wanted to thank you for taking the time to read my blog. For the loving, funny,
understanding and comforting comments you leave in response to my (many) rambles. Some of you are family (or should be), some of you are friends (of the very best kind) and some of you are strangers (who became friends through writing). You are all amazing. You are all unique. Your words mean so much to me.
You mean so much to me.
I promise to write more soon. But for now, I just wanted to thank you. Because your words matter. You matter. More than you will ever know.
Smiles, love & fluff,
Olivia

Oh you are so nice to your readers! Reading a horrific book called "The BookLover" at the moment - I should have guessed from the double-authorship that it was unlikely to be a classic. The main character has a somewhat similar approach to books as I do - but unfortunately couples this with extreme pretension... ugh.
Meanwhile, top read for me recently has been Elizabeth Gaskell's North and South - fantastic insight into working conditions in England during the Industrial Revolution, a strong empathetic female character, and a credible love story. Really enjoyed it. Also read Pride and Prejudice again, having just rewatched the dreamy BBC adaptation with Colin Firth. Lovely.
Hope you have perked up,
Irene x
